Sam Mitchell takes a leave of absence.

Sam Mitchell has taken a leave of absence from the Toronto Raptors following the death of his father-in-law. Mitchell is flying home to to Atlanta to deal with matters. There is no timetable for his return. Assistant coach Mike Evans will take over as head coach tonight against the Spurs (he scouts the Spurs), and assistant Jay Triano will coach on Wednesday against the Nets. I assume Mitchell will be back after that.
