ESPN is reporting that Damon Stoudamire has informed the San Antonio Spurs that he will sign with them once he clears waivers tomorrow morning. That is a big help for the Spurs who have Tony Parker out indefinitely and obviously prefer Jacque Vaughn as a backup. The Spurs have dropped their last three games. It's assumed Stoudamire won't be in uniform tomorrow in Phoenix, so look for him to be in a Spurs jersey on Feb. 5 against the Pacers.
The Spurs schedule is brutal before the All-Star Break. Their next seven games are all on the road, and they play Phoenix, Boston, Cleveland, Toronto and Washington during that span.
