CP3 4 MVP!!!

Chris Paul put on another spectacular performance last night, blowing up for a huge 26 points and 17 assists against the Spurs last night. Oh, and the Hornets beat the Spurs by 25 points, 100-75. That is incredible!

The Hornets held the Spurs to just eight points in the fourth quarter, another impressive stat.

The Hornets are now 43-20, and David West and Bonzi Wells are both back on the court for them, which is vital for their success.

Rockets make it 18, Dirk passes Blackman

The Houston Rockets beat New Orleans last night 106-96. The Hornets didn't have David West, which means the Rockets beat another shorthanded team. The Rockets are totally shorthanded as well, but I'd like to see one of these wins against a top team that was at full strength. If the Rockets can do that we can really see if this is a fluke or not. I hate to keep throwing the Rockets under the train like this, but I have no choice.

18 wins in a row, is still 18 wins a row and Houston now has the third seed in the Wild Wild West.

Dirk Nowitzki dropped 34 points on the Nets last night and is now the Dallas Mavericks' All-Time Leading Scorer. He passed the great Rolando Blackman by one point last night and currently has 16,644 points, which I didn't even realize he'd been in the league 10 years, let alone had that many points.

It's not that I didn't know Dirk came to the NBA in the 1998-99 season, but I guess you don't realize how long ago that is, and the fact that this guy probably only has 3-4 years left in his career, so now you know why they traded for Jason Kidd. Let's face it, the Mavs need to win now.

Rockets go for 18th straight against the Hornets

The Rockets are on an incredible run, the seventh best in NBA history. They have beat teams down since Yao went down, the games aren't even close. They beat the Dirk-less Mavs on Thursday night, but can they hold off the New Orleans Hornets?

The Hornets are obviously one of the best teams in the NBA and the Rockets are trying to prove that they belong in that conversation as well, even without Yao Ming. Tonight should be a true test to see if this winning with Yao is for real.

The game is at 8:30 PM ET on NBATV, so if you have NBA TV, it should be worth the time to watch.

Rockets get 17th straight win in Dallas

Rafer Alston and the Rockets got their 17th straight win tonight in Dallas against the Mavericks, who were without Dirk Nowitzki. Alston had a season-high 24 points for the Rockets who put the pounding on the Mavs 113-98. This is the fifth straight win for the Rockets since losing Yao Ming, all of the games have been won by at least 13 points.

Obviously with Dirk out, it helped the Rockets out a bit, but let's not forget to give credit where it's due. They are on an unbelievable and very exciting run. 17 wins in a row ties for seventh all-time in NBA history, and beating Dallas at home is extremely hard even without Nowitzki.

The Rockets have another tough test on Saturday as the New Orleans Hornets come to Houston, can the Rockets really get their 18th straight victory? That's definitely the game to watch on Saturday for those of you with League Pass, make sure to mark the calendar.

23 points, 18 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals-- tonight for CP3

Paul led the way again for the Hornets who beat down the Hawks 116-101. Paul has been doing this all year, the Hornets have been winning all year. They are now 41-19, third best in the West and one game out of first. This is no fluke now, it's March. The Hornets are on pace to win 56 games this season. There are 22 games left in the season for them, can they do it? No doubt. They probably will.

Kobe's been great. LeBron's been great. There team's have done very well too, Kobe obviously much better than LeBron's.

Be honest, who saw the Hornets winning 56 games this year? Who saw them competing for best in the West come March?

CHRIS PAUL IS THE MVP OF THE NBA!

He's not getting near the respect he deserves for what he is doing this year. 21 points, 11 assists and 4 rebounds per game. Let's not forget about his 2.7 steals and ONLY 2.5 turnovers (at 11 assists, that's bonkers!). He also shoots 48%, 36% from beyond the arch and 88% at the charity stripe. This guy is playing at a ridiculous level, as is his team, the team he is the catalyst for.

When Nash won his two MVP's he average the same amount of assists pretty much, only 16 and 19 points per night and nearly FOUR turnovers as well.

John Stockton, Magic Johnson and Isiah Thomas never averaged near that amount of assists with under three turnovers per game, Stockton came closest at three even, but the others were all around four.

Hmmm?

I guess the Hornets will need to win 70 games this year for Chris Paul to get the award that he deserves, at this point of the season.

Birdman is back!

Chris Andersen was kicked out of the league two years ago for violating the league's substance abuse policy, he has now been reinstated.

It is assumed the Hornets will give him a contract and he will rejoin the team where he became famous for ruining the dunk contest. This guy was on some hardcore drugs, though they never said what, it could have been Meth, Coke, LSD or something else ridiculous. That's probably why he sucked so bad in the dunk contest, he was too high to realize he took 10 minutes to do one dunk.

Well, I guess, I wish him the best and hopefully he cut that horrible hair.
