Hakeem Olajuwon is having a great weekend, Patrick Ewing's weekend is pretty good too. Olajuwon, Ewing and Pat Riley were all selected as first time finalists for the Basketball Hall of Fame. Some other candidates include: Richie Guerin and Johnny "Red" Kerr (former players and coaches), Dick Vitale, Detroit Pistons owner Bill Davidson.
I would assume that Olajuwon, Riley, Ewing and Vitale are all locks this year. Kerr is definitely up there, as is Davidson (3 NBA Titles, 2 WNBA titles and was the first owner to get his team a private jet amongst other accomplishments).
